Lemniscata Gr 3
Lemniscata was commissioned in memory of a colorguard/band student in Michigan. The infinity symbol (∞), called a lemniscate, is a mathematical figure-eight symbol representing the concept of infinity (something boundless, limitless, endless.) This lyrical piece explores a range of motion, from calm piano ostinatos to swirling, spinning figures, all the while representing this student’s love for the art and the endless influence and connectivity a person can have on others.
